Synopsis:
The international co-production is the story of two young people in love in war-torn France, facing the ultimate sacrifice. It is a consuming love affair and a dramatic suspense story. Moment by moment, twist by twist, the suspense and tension build to heights of courage and heroism, reflecting everyone's responsibility for their own lives and other's deaths.

The plot, based on a novel by Simone de Beauvoir, The Blood of Others concerns Jodie Foster's confused loyalties: should she continue in her underground activities, or succumb to the charms of the seemingly civilized Neill?

In the German-occupied Paris, Helene is torn between the love for her boyfriend Jean, working for the resistance and the German administrator Bergmann, who will do anything to gain her affection.
