Synopsis:

***WARNING: El amor menos pensado DOES NOT have English language options*** Son of the Bride: At age 42, Rafael Belvedere is having a crisis. He lives in the shadow of his father, he feels guilty about rarely visiting his aging mother, his ex-wife says he doesn't spend enough time with their daughter and he has yet to make a commitment to his girlfriend. At his lowest point, a minor heart attack reunites him with Juan Carlos, a childhood friend, who helps Rafael to reconstruct his past and look at the present in new ways. The Secret in Their Eyes: In 1999, retired Argentinian federal justice agent Benjamín Espósito is writing a novel, using an old closed case as the source material. That case is the brutal rape and murder of Liliana Coloto. In addition to seeing the extreme grief of the victim's husband Ricardo Morales, Benjamín, his assistant Pablo Sandoval, and newly hired department chief Irene Menéndez-Hastings were personally affected by the case as Benjamín and Pablo tracked the killer, hence the reason why the unsatisfactory ending to the case has always bothered him. Despite the department already having two other suspects, Benjamín and Pablo ultimately were certain that a man named Isidoro Gómez is the real killer. Although he is aware that historical accuracy is not paramount for the novel, the process of revisiting the case is more an issue of closure for him. He tries to speak to the key players in the case, most specifically Irene, who still works in the justice department and who he has always been attracted to but never pursued due to the differences in their ages and social classes. The other issue is that Gómez is still at large, no one aware if he is alive or dead. But as Pablo at the time mentioned that passion is one thing that cannot be changed in behavior, Benjamín learns now that that premise still holds true. Truman: Julián receives an unexpected visit from his friend Tomás, who lives in Canada. The two men, accompanied by Julián's faithful dog, Truman, will share emotional and surprising moments prompted by Julián's complicated situation. An Unexpected Love: Marcos and Ana are married and live in Buenos Aires as any other typical middle-class family. During 25 years, they have been the perfect parents for their only son Luciano, caring and helping him without worry about their own needs. But one day, an adult Luciano abandons his family home to move from Argentina to Madrid, Spain in order to attend university. The emptiness generated by his absence takes effect on the couple, finding themselves as strangers living in the same house with not a thing in common. After taking a time to think, Marcos and Ana decide mutually to divorce, each starting a new life separated. With an uncertain future ahead, Marcos moves to a friend's home and is convinced to meet new women, while Ana enjoys her new freedom. Meeting casually once in a while, Marcos and Ana share their memories together with their new respective relationships, but the promise of a new life they wanted isn't as exciting and touching as they hoped. Marcos and Ana try to discover if their new lives are any better than their shared married existence. Heroic Losers: August 2001, Alsina (east to Argentina, close to Atlantic Ocean). In a little town with absence of population and resources, former soccer player Fermín Pelassi and his wife Lidia decide to create a cooperative buying an abandoned silo to restore it and hire people to work, hoping to bring back the business Alsina. Talking between others with friends as aged Antonio Fontana (a self-declared anarchist and Bakunin's fan), train station chief Rolo Belaúnde, redneck expert in explosives Atanasio Medina, businesswoman Carmen Largio and the naive not-too-much-smart but lovely José and Eladio Gómez brothers, all they reunite an amount of 158,000 $. Not having a bank in Alsina, Fermín and Lidia travel the neighbor town of Villagrán to leave the money in a safe box trusting in Alvarado, bank manager, to keep it while they try to negotiate with silo's owner to reduce the original price of 300,000 $. Therefore, Alvarado convinces Fermín to change the money from the safe box to his own bank account to accelerate silo's purchase. But the next day, December 19, 2001, Argentina's government declares the infamous Corralito (a national bank freeze, preventing that any citizen can to extract from any bank more of 250 $ per day). With all them money trapped in the bank, Fermín and Lidia travel Villagrán to face without success Alvarado by the cheat. However, things worsen when during the return trip they have a car crash, where Lidia dies and Fermín is severally injured. One year later, a depressive and still mourning Fermín cared by his son Rodrigo, who left the Buenos Aires' University after the car crash, is visited by Fontana and Belaúnde to report him about news: going to Fontana's workshop, a young bank employee reveals Fermín that the same day that Alvarado convinced him to change the money, it was moved to the bank account of a corrupt lawyer and Alvavaro's partner-in-crime, Fortunato Manzi, who later kept it in an underground bunker located in the lands of a cow ranch. Looking for recover the money Rodrigo fakes to be a gardener in Manzi's office where he meets Florencia, Manzi's secretary, feeling attracted to her at the same time he learns about Alvarado's and his wife deaths in a fire in their house. While Fermín and the rest find the bunker and they try to open it, they discover in bad ways the so much strong bunker's security system, forced to runaway quickly. Tracing trace a plan to dismantle the security causing several consecutive fails on it, two unexpected troubles appear: Florencia uncovers Rodrigo, and an armed Manzi is on the verge of a collapse nervous, determined to kill anyone by the money. Fearing to lose Rodrigo as he lost Lidia, Fermín quits off the plan, but Rodrigo makes him continue despite the danger. Will can to get the money before Florencia betrays Rodrigo and Manzi catch all them?
