Synopsis:
The Lawyer: Baker is a rich southern cattle town and Wilma Harrison is one of its most famous socialites. When the rich party girl is found brutally murdered in her own bed, her husband Jack is arrested for the murder. Tony Petrocelli is a hotshot defense lawyer from New York, who moves to Baker to continue his practice after a fallout with the courts in the Big Apple and he accepts to defend Harrison. Since the police investigation was quite sloppy, all he needs to do to win is prove to the jury that the evidence against his client are circumstantial and that there's enough room for reasonable doubt. As the trial progresses, he also realizes that the witness testimonies leave enough room for an alternate theory about what happened that night. Petrocelli doesn't really care if his client is actually innocent or not, so he uses every trick in his bag to win. The story is based on the infamous case of Samuel Holmes 'Sam' Sheppard D.O., an American neurosurgeon tried in 1954 for the murder of his pregnant wife. The movie had a TV sequel and a TV show about the character of Petrocelli and his further cases. Little Fauss and Big Halsy: A story of two motorcycle racers, the inept, unsuspecting Little Fauss (Michael J. Pollard) and the opportunistic, womanizing Halsey Knox (Redford). Hit!: A Federal Agent, whose daughter dies of a heroin overdose, is determined to destroy the drug ring that supplied her. He recruits various people whose lives have been torn apart by the drug trade and trains them. Then they all leave for France to track down and destroy the ring. Sheila Levine Is Dead and Living in New York: Sheila Levine is a Jewish-American princess and a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. An innovative, bright, but painfully introverted individual, she comes to New York City with her mother and father to take an apartment with a nightclub-hopping roommate. Persuaded to go to a nightclub one night, she meets a doctor named Sam Stoneman who is on the hunt for a one-night stand. Sheila develops an intense attraction towards Sam who seemingly is attracted to Sheila's desperately flirtatious roommate. She returns to Harrisburg for a time and comes back to win the heart of Sam only to discover that he has been conned into an engagement with her ex-roommate. Meanwhile, stalwart Sheila quickly climbs the ladder at her job as a 'office-singer/typist' for a record company. The Boys in Company C: This war drama follows the lives of five young marine recruits from their training in boot camp in 1967 through a tour in Vietnam in 1968 that quickly devolves into a hellish nightmare. Disheartened by futile combat, appalled by the corruption of their South Vietnamese ally, and constantly endangered by the incompetence of their own company commander, the young men find a possible way out of the war. They are told that if they can defeat a rival soccer team, they can spend the rest of their tour playing exhibition games behind the lines. But as they might have predicted, nothing in Vietnam is as simple as it seems.
