Synopsis:
Lonesome Dove: The Series: The series revolved around the life and times of Newt Call as he set out to make his way in the world. Newt participated in some of the major events of the Western era while encountering some of the frontier's legendary figures. Snowy River: The McGregor Saga: Based on the poem 'Man From Snowy River' by Banjo Paterson. The series takes place years after the race in the poem and follows the lives of the McGregor Clan. A widowed father raising his three children, Colin (the town preacher), Rob and his daughter Danni (Daneilla). It takes place during the early 20th-century and the township of Paterson's Ridge in Australia's Snowy Mountains. This series was also known as: Banjo Paterson's - The Man From Snowy River. Alias Smith and Jones: Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry, two of the most wanted outlaws in the history of the West, are popular 'with everyone except the railroads and the banks', since 'in all the trains and banks they robbed, they never shot anyone'. They are offered an amnesty on condition that they stay out of trouble for a year and that they don't tell anyone what's (not) happening. Trying to keep their noses clean they adopt the identities of Smith and Jones and use all of their ingenuity to keep out of the way of the law. Rawhide: The story of a crew of cowhands driving a herd from San Antonio, Texas to Sedalia, Missouri. The cattledrive boss is Gil Favor (Eric Fleming); his right-hand is ramrod Rowdy Yates (Clint Eastwood). The scout's name is Pete Nolan (Sheb Wooley) and the cook on the drive is Wishbone (Paul Brinegar) . The cook's louse (scullion) is Mushy (James Murdock). Jim Quince (Steve Raines) and Joe Scarlet (Rocky Shahan) are drovers and Jesus 'Hey Soos' Patines (Robert Cabal) is the wrangler. Together, this crew endures many adventures. The Macahans: Zeb Macahan, a pioneering westerner, help's move his brother's family to the wild west. They run into several obstacles, including the breakout of the Civil War. This sends the father back to fight in the war, and leaves the family to move on ahead.
