Synopsis:
Golden Globe Award winning Jonathan Rhys Meyers gives the performance of a lifetime as Englands most notorious king in the thrilling hit drama series, The Tudors. King Henry VIIIs fierce passion to secure Englands world prominence and his own legacy leads him through a string of six wives, an ill-advised war with France and ultimately a place in history as one of the worlds most charismatic, most brutal and most deeply human kings. The all-star cast includes Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Sam Neil, Peter OToole, Joely Richardson and Henry Cavill. Get all four seasons of heart-pounding action and edge-of-your seat intrigue in this critically-acclaimed series that redefined historical dramas.

The Tudors presents the rarely dramatized, tumultuous early years of King Henry VIII's nearly 40 year, omnipotent reign (1509-1547). In addition to his famous female consorts and 20+ year marriage to Catherine of Aragon to the infamous dalliance with Anne Boleyn, the series delves in to Henry's most notable political relationship and the deconstruction of the Roman Catholic Church in England.

Focusing on the early years of King Henry VIII's reign, The Tudors looks at the colourful personal life and tremendously influential political life of the monarch. King Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) was obsessed with having a male heir, which led to him marrying six times. Rome's decision not to grant him a divorce led to him taking on the power of the Catholic Church, changing Christianity forever in England.
