Synopsis:
Le docteur Van Tacke, un homme excentrique, est entièrement dévoué à ses patients, les habitants pieux d?un village au bord de la Meuse. Il rencontre le braconnier local et très vite une solide amitié se noue entre eux. (Le film a été nommé pour l?Oscar du meilleur film étranger).
