Synopsis:
No french review yet:
A chronicle of Father John P. McNamee's experiences at the inner city St. Malachy's parish, in North Philadelphia. A self-proclaimed 'kept man of the domestic church', McNamee organizes his schedule around the nightly procession of locals who come by for groceries and streetwise succor (one of them even steals his welcome mat). As the pressures of being constantly on-call for his parishioners take their toll on his own personal strength, Father John becomes tired and bitter. His faith is unshaken, but his heart is tired as he tries to come to terms with the complexity of human existence.
