The creators of the most successful forensic series around producer Jerry Bruckheimer have almost become a tradition that a new spin-off will be introduced as part of an already established series. The team was introduced to Miami when a Las Vegas murder led Gil Grissom to the metropolis of Florida. The New York investigators of the CSI, in turn, appeared on the TV screen for the first time when Horatio Caine flew from Miami to the Big Apple. Two years later, the escape of a murderer again led to a collaboration between Caine and Detective Mac Taylor, which was conceived as a double sequence, but broadcast separately as part of each series. |
