| Synopsis: | No french review yet: This documentary offers a very interesting portrait of an exceptional leader. Khrushchev succeeded Stalin and was party leader of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from September 1953 to October 1964. Despite being very loyal to Stalin, Khrushchev criticized him after his death, accusing him of mass murder and a grotesque personality cult. The leader Khrushchev himself ruled with an iron fist. Abroad, he became particularly known for many incidents such as the famous 'shoe incident'. He certainly wasn't tactful and many people objected to this. The Cuban Missile Crisis and its controversial character led to his ouster in 1964. After seven years of house arrest, Khrushchev died in 1971. |
