Synopsis:
No french review yet:
The Dungeonmaster: Paul, a computer whiz who spends more time with his machine than with his girlfriend, finds that he has been chosen as a worthy opponent for Mestema, an evil wizard who has spent centuries searching for a challenging foe. After having his computer changed into a wristband weapon, Paul battles with a variety of monsters before finally coming face to face with the ultimate adversary. Dolls: While driving in a stormy night, Rosemary Bower (with her husband David Bower, and his seven year-old daughter, Judy) gets her car stuck in the mud in the middle of nowhere. The family is traveling on vacation and Judy, who lives in Boston with her mother, daydreams, irritating her stepmother. (The two intensely dislike each other, and Judy's father never seems to take his daughter's side or to defend her from his second wife.) Unable to get a response at the front door, they manage to enter an old house through a side door. The elderly couple, toy makers Gabriel and Hilary Hartwicke, initially ostensibly armed with a gun and wary, decide to welcome the guests. While dining, three more people -- Ralph Morris, a driver with two troublesome female hitchhikers (Isabel and Enid) -- also come to the house, stranded by the storm. Gabriel and Hilary likewise invite them to spend the night. Isabel decides to steal from the couple. Judy sees Leprechauns taking her to the attic. She tries to tell to her father but he doesn't believe her. Ralph, who has the heart of a kid, is the only adult that gives attention to the little girl. The toys get rid off the evil folks and only those of pure heart get to survive and leave the mansion. Cellar Dweller: A comic book artist inadvertently summons an evil monster into his basement studio by his imagination. A blank paper gets filled up supernaturally with graphic depiction of a female being killed brutally by a monster. In trying to kill the monster, the artist accidentally sets himself n his house on fire, thereby making people think that it was he who killed the woman. Decades later, his house has become a small art institute and one of the students once again inadvertently releases the supernatural monster who goes on a killing spree. Arena: An intergalactic fighting competition between champions of various worlds has traditionally been won by a species much larger and stronger than humans. Entering the contest, a human finds he has to battle against not just his opponents and his self-doubts, but the corrupt system. Robot Jox: 50 years after a nuclear war, the two superpowers handle territorial disputes in a different way. Each fields a giant robot to fight one-on-one battles in official matches, each piloted by a man inside, known as robot jockeys or jox. The contest for possession of Alaska will be fought by two of the best. The conscientious Achilles fights for the Americans. Opposing him is a Russian, Alexander, a ruthless and bloodthirsty adversary who has killed his previous nine American opponents. With a traitor feeding the Russians secret weapons information and new, genetically-engineered jox looking to take his place, Achilles faces obstacles at every turn in the hardest battle of his life.
