Synopsis:

En Afrique du Sud, en 1964, un très jeune enfant blanc est recueilli par les missionnaires de Nohateng, village africain. Le père Alberto, qui dirige la Mission, décide d'élever l'enfant, dont les parents ont péri au cours d'un accident de voiture. Il pense que le petit Blanc s'adaptera très bien à l'environnement et les faits lui donnent raison puisque, quelques années plus tard, Jannie, qui a maintenant 8 ans, a pour meilleur ami un petit Noir du nom de Tsepo.
