***ATTENTION***The film's audio is subtitled in English, while few title cards are in French without translation***Sun Stop! is the result of a collaboration over three years between the avant-garde filmmaker Ferry Radax and the avant-garde poet Konrad Bayer. It has long been considered as a classic of Austrian experimental filmmaking. The plot, which becomes submerged in the process of montage, runs, according to Radax, something like this: 'The story of a dandy who first of all shoots down the sun out of boredom and then, just as the world changes momentarily, the moon as well. At the same time he leads a secret, poetic double life as an initerant sailor.'
