Synopsis:
Two couples struggling under desperate circumstances are faced with a devastating betrayal in this low-key independent drama from writer and director Conor Horgan. An unnamed apocalyptic event has left a handful of survivors struggling to get by in a village in rural Ireland. Mark (Rory Keenan) and his wife Katie (Kelly Campbell) are sharing a cottage with another couple, Jonathan (Ciaran McMenamin) and Hannah (Alex Reid) as they wait to see what will happen next; they have a stock of provisions and their neighbor Tim (Robert O'Mahoney), while even tempered, is willing to defend their territory if need be. But matters take a turn for the worse when Sgt. Lavelle (Paul Ronan), a local police officer, helps himself to a large supply of their food, and a handful of armed thugs take much of the rest. Tim is not willing to help his friends who were unprepared to protect their supplies, and tension mounts as the couples realize that they'll soon have to find a way to sustain themselves in a world without power, electronic communication or markets. But even the basics of survival seem insignificant to Mark when he learns that Katie has been having an affair with Jonathan.

Set in and around a midsize cabin in the verdant Irish countryside, this intelligent, delicate debut observes the shifting relationships of its four adult inhabitants. An unexplained recent catastrophe has left them without telephone, electricity or fuel, and though Dublin is within walking distance, the roads are unsafe. Jonathan (Ciaran McMenamin) is resigned and withdrawn, his wife, Hannah (Alex Reid), nervous and chafing at the unwanted proximity of their guests (Rory Keenan and Kelly Campbell). Their sole neighbor, an unwaveringly self-interested survivalist (Robert O'Mahoney), has a firmer grasp on the every-man-for-himself new order, but soon the others will be forced to catch up.

Two couples hide out in a remote holiday home, trying to escape the consequences of a breakdown of society. Their relationships deteriorate as supplies grow scarce and they face increasing threats from hungry outsiders. In order to increase their chances of survival, they each have to make choices they never imagined would confront them.
