Synopsis:
This provocative parable centers on the bitter custodian of a grim housing complex and the mute, naked woman with healing sexual powers he discovers in an empty apartment. Playing far better than it describes - and not without humor - this is a controversial drama with exceptional performances that won't be to all tastes but which is certain to generate conversation. Life doesn't seem particularly rosy for misogynist handyman Per. His wife left him. Their son is a junkie. His back hurts, his neck is stiff and the property he manages requires one dirty job after another. Most nights end over beers with whiny, parasitical neighbor Viborg - until fate throws the girl, like some fallen angel, his way. The screenplay by the prolific, versatile Kim Fupz Aakeson (A Somewhat Gentle Man, PSIFF 2011) walks a fine line between exploitation and creativity, but manages to land on the side of art. He makes the woman a different sort of caretaker, while acclaimed theatre director Katrine Wiedemann avoids any moralizing about the story's unusual premise.

Per (Lars Mikkelsen) is a bitter, misogynist, caretaker. His wife left him, his son is a drug addict and his back hurts. In his spare free time he drinks beer with neighbour Viborg (Nicolaj Kopernikus). Then he suddenly finds a mysterious naked young woman (Julie Zangenberg) in an empty apartment. Per doesn't know what to do with the girl who is unable to talk, walk, or eat. The only thing she does is smile mysteriously. Then Per and his friends discover her special gift.

Harsh and bitter, apartment caretaker Per despises everyone and everything around him until he comes across a mysterious naked girl in an empty apartment. She doesn't know how to talk, walk, or even eat - she just smiles broadly. Per soon discovers that she has miraculous sexual powers. Perhaps just as startling, he finds himself caring deeply for this beauty in a perverse, unexpected fairy tale about love, possession, and generosity.
