A successful magazine publisher is frustrated with his dreary job and failing marriage and family life. After failing to find a solution to his problems, he plots to kill his wife and children, seeking advice by disguising his plan as a fictional story for his business.

Paul Steward, a successful magazine publisher, finds life meaningless. Rather than take the conventional escapes - adultery, divorce, suicide - he contemplates exterminating his entire family, and so erasing all his mistakes. He seeks the opinions of others on the subject (posing it as a future magazine series). (Synopsis)
