Synopsis:

Vincent van Gogh is arguably the most famous artist of all time. In his life, we find all the elements of the tormented genius: a disastrous unrequited love, violent arguments and a lacerating remorse. After amputating his ear - a famous episode - and being locked up in a psychiatric hospital, his health deteriorated rapidly and, after a few days, the creator of masterpieces such as "The Sunflowers", "The Potato Eaters earth' and 'The chair and the pipe', died. Van Gogh was among the pioneers of Expressionism, exerting a profound influence on twentieth-century artists.
