Synopsis:

The 14 -year-old Samuel Maruta (Simon Marian Hoffman ) moves with his mother (Tatjana Milicevic) from Ukraine to Germany. Shortly thereafter, a malignant brain tumor is found in Samuel. Britta Schweigmann (Birgit Schuck) has breast cancer. Helmut Karl Kemmler ( Jusuf Gulevski ) is an old bitter man . He was all his life a recluse and lived only for himself. After a stroke, he comes to the hospital. The hospital is overcrowded. All rooms are occupied, except one. In outpatient cancer ward sleeping in a triple just for women. The doctors and head of the hospital decide after consultation to accommodate the old man in the room with the women. Shortly afterwards, a boy gets the last bed in the room. And so, three people meet from different stages of life . However, in the dominated with the death room soon zest for life is flared again. And so all begin to believe again in life, until it comes to a bitter setback...
