Synopsis:
*********THIS DVD'S DESCRIPTION HAS NOT BEEN FINALIZED YET********
The four-or-five-times-a-week adventures of a motel owner and her son, daughter and staff. Drama was never far away from the ringing of the reception bell.

A long-running British soap opera, focusing on the staff of the motel Crossroads Motel in the Midlands. The main setting was the fictional village of Kings Oak, near Birmingham. Early in the series, the widowed businesswoman Meg Richardson converted a large house in the Georgian-architecture style to a relatively large motel which would cater to the motorists using a then-new motorway. Crossroads had 16 chalets, a reception, a bar, a kitchen, an office and a private sitting room. Meg's primary assistant in the early seasons was her young adult daughter Jill, who initially worked as the hotel receptionist. Over the years, both Meg and Jill had a number of failed marriages. The recurring cast included a small army of relatives of Meg and Jill, various staff members, and (in late seasons) new shareholders to the motel.

Story of a pregnant nun raped by Congo natives and faced with a problem: she
must choose between giving her expected baby to a charitable institution and
remaining a nun, or leaving the order to attend her child. (Synopsis)
