Synopsis:
Morlove: Parody on the classic detective film with the absurdity of a comic strip. Images are edited into the images and provided with texts like a comic strip, resulting in a humorous experiment that acquire cult status. Filou: Max is unemployed. He shares an apartment with a prostitute, dreaming of another life, and Jiri, a refugee who believes the world is doomed. Max is certain that he will one day find the deal that will make him rich. Always & Forever: This is a modern adaptation of the legend of Orpheus. Claude, a militant anarchist, is caught stealing and is shot by a policeman while fleeing the scene. Dodo, a hairdresser, is hit by one of the stray bullets. They meet in the realm of the dead and together they visit familiar places and their loved ones. By debating their past with each other, they become close and fall in love. Because of their feelings they get the chance to return to life for twelve hours in order to prove the depth love they share. Babylon 2: The first film about «secondos»: A Turkish ice hockey player explains why, in Switzerland, he could only fall in love with an Italian. A young Italian woman explains why she prefers to rap in English. A hip-hop artist with Hispanic origins fights for his political rights and the director reminisces on how, despite his Arabic roots, he's been persecuted as a Jew. Babylon 2 reflects the rise of a new urban culture in Switzerland, which is instigated by the second generation of immigrants and the help of electronic media. Forget Baghdad: Jews and Arabs - The Iraqi Connection: A filmic reflection about the stereotypes of 'Jew' and 'Arab' through one hundred years of film, contrasted with the history of Jewish communists from Iraq. The protagonists are Shimon Ballas, a writer and professor of Arabic studies in Tel Aviv and Paris; the best-selling Israeli author Sami Michael from Haifa; Moshe Houri, a former dealer in real estate; writer Samir Naqqash who only publishes in the Arabic language and Ella Shohat, a Professor of Film and Cultural Studies in New York who has written a standard text on the Israeli film industry. Snow White: The life of 20-year-old Nico from upper class Zurich is all party, sex and drugs when she meets Carlos, the front man of a hip hop band. With naivete and infinite self-confidence, she tries to adopt his lifestyle - with harsh consequences. The Little Girl: A little girl looking for directions meets the wolf, the bull and the great woman on the mountain. A short film specially commissioned to celebrate the centenary of cinema.
