Synopsis:
***WARNING: La traversée de Paris DOES NOT HAVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE OPTIONS*** The Crossing of Paris: Two unlikely companions, the straight-laced Martin and the bombastic Grandgil, must smuggle four suitcases filled with contraband pork across Nazi-occupied Paris. While Martin tries to make it through with workmanlike efficiency, Grandgil seems to create, and subsequently surmount, obstacles for the fun of it. A Monkey in Winter: Albert is an inn owner who vowed never to drink again if he and his wife survived the war. They did, and the reformed alcoholic keeps his vow. But times have changed and soon after the war, Albert comes in contact with Gabriel, a young man prone to heavy bouts with the bottle. Gabriel is conflicted over visiting his young daughter in a nearby school and in a moment of nostalgia, Albert takes off with him on one major binge -- and havoc results. Any Number Can Win: Charles, a criminal fresh out of jail, rejects his wife's plan for a quiet life of bourgeois respectability. He enlists a former cellmate, Francis, to assist him in pulling off one final score, a carefully planned assault on the vault of a Cannes casino. Bad luck and lack of professionalism set the caper maddeningly askew.
