Thomas and Andreas were born with Down syndrome. Both work at their brother's country inn. They are special to guests and staff alike. Their spontaneous and natural manner shapes the daily work routine. Everyone immediately takes to them. Preparing vegetables, washing dishes, and running errands are among their tasks in the family business. They usually carry them out with great enthusiasm. But if they're not feeling well, they can't do anything at all. Then they have to be given space until they're ready to return. The two live with Maria, their mother, who also works at the inn. After work, the three of them enjoy their evenings together. The thought of what will become of the two sons when Maria can no longer be there for them is something they keep pushing away. Silvia Häselbarth has created a sensitive documentary about the successful integration of people with disabilities. Her film has already been shown at nine festivals both in Germany and abroad and has become a crowd favorite. The touching story regularly elicited bursts of laughter from the audience. Not that the actors were being laughed at, they simply spread a genuinely good atmosphere.
