Synopsis:
*********THIS DVD'S DESCRIPTION HAS NOT BEEN FINALIZED YET********
In 1932, Albert Einstein was invited by the League of Nations to write a letter to a person of his choice on a subject of his choosing. He decided to ask Sigmund Freud about how to prevent war.

Albert Einstein was invited by the League of Nations to write a letter on any topic to any individual of his choice. He decided to correspond with Sigmund Freud on the subject of avoiding war. In his letter, Einstein emphasized the importance of establishing an independent judicial body to mediate conflicts. Freud agreed but expressed skepticism, noting that 'it is unlikely we will be able to suppress humanity's aggressive tendencies'. Even today, this exchange between two of history's greatest minds remains as relevant as ever. Inspired by their correspondence nearly a century ago, the film Why War explores the roots of war and sets out to understand the causes of violence and the numerous conflicts that continue to shape our world.

In 1932, Albert Einstein was invited by the League of Nations to address a letter on any subject to any person. He chose to correspond with Sigmund Freud about avoiding war. To this day, the correspondence about war of two great thinkers of all time proves to be more relevant than ever.
