In the first season of Blue Heelers, Constable Maggie Doyle proves to be not just a pretty face. She is as tough as they come. During the series, Maggie convinces a young local girl to press rape charges against her violent boyfriend, and finds herself investigating an alleged accidental shooting. An abandoned baby sees Maggie revisit feelings of guilt from a past case, and later in the series, she answers a cry for help from a wife she suspects is being abused by her husband...
