Cuban Story, released for the first time in the UK, is a collage of shocking but historically valuable footage. Silent images of slain "comrades" and the savage killing of young men in the streets as the Batista police casually observe are unsettling. It gives us a fascinating glimpse of Cuba in 1959. Presented by Errol Flynn-cinema's biggest star from the mid 30's until the late 40's and produced by Victor Pahlen. Originally screened in Moscow, it disappeared for four decades until Pahlen's daughter discovered it in the early 2000's.
