Synopsis:

San Francisco police inspector Phyllis Webber's (Joanna Going) comfortable life falls apart when she discovers her husband has been regularly unfaithful to her - and he's not interested in saving the marriage. Serving her with divorce papers, her husband tells her he wants full custody of their teenage son Sean (Josh Hayden). Unable to afford a good lawyer, Phyllis is saved at the custody hearing when a high-prices lawyer walks into the courtroom and puts things right. In return, he asks her to do his client a little favour. The client? Local mob boss Joe Sullivan (Tim Conlon). The favour? She is to be his police informant, letting him know which busts are about to go down and what they know about him. Phyllis reluctantly agrees, for the sake of her son. As time goes on, Phyllis gets more deeply involved with Sullivan's plans-and her partner Jeff Wong (Nelson Wong) suspects something's up. He urges her to come forward, but Phyllis is in too deep. but when Sullivan raises the stakes even higher and her son disappears, she realizes that she'll need her partner Jeff's help if she wants to get her son back - and get out of Sullivan's deadly grasp.
