Cuchíbiri cuchíbiri is the story of a very unique genre of Spanish music: the Catalan rumba. Created by Catalan gypsies, this documentary is narrated by its very creator: Peret. Stories about stardom, race and family, yet also about his disenchantment with the music industry. A man who took charge of his destiny with sheer determination and talent, and then simply walked away. Cuchíbiri cuchíbiri explores three generations of rumberos: the creators (Peret, Chacho and Ramonet); those who kept rumba alive during the 1990s (Chipén) and, finally, the new generation (Miliu and Lady Gipsy). All illustrated with a lot of music, rumba and a lot of 'venting'.
