This DVD describes, with striking images, the great battles in the West and in the East which enabled the Allies to put an end to the Nazi dictatorship. These films were shot in a real combat situation by the film services of the armies and the cameramen of newsreels attached to the American, British, French and Russian forces. Some images also come from films seized from the German army. They were broadcast in 16 languages by the Ministry of Information to show the peoples of Free Europe the first stages of their liberation.
