However, very few suspect that, behind these walls, fabulous destinies have crossed paths. For the first time, a film invites us to discover the other side of the decor, by pushing open the door of number 26. The Countess of Castiglione, mistress of Napoleon III, lived her decline there. Before her, there was a famous libertine, a director of the East India Company, and an amateur zoologist. After her, it was Lucien and Sacha Guitry. Today, the place, all imbued with their souls, houses the Maison Assouline and the jeweler Boucheron.
