Three Paths to the Lake: Elisabeth, a forty years old woman, visits her old father in the outskirts of Klagenfurt. There, she reflects about her childhood and her romantic life. Lemmings: This two-part drama examines the fate of the generation of Germans which came of age after World War II. The Seventh Continent: The daily routines of a seemingly ordinary Austrian family begin to take on a sinister complexion. Benny's Video: A 14-year-old video enthusiast obsessed with violent films decides to make one of his own and show it to his parents, with tragic results. 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance: 71 scenes revolving around a recent immigrant, a couple that has just adopted a daughter, a college student and a lonely old man. The Castle: When a land surveyor arrives at a small snowy village, local authorities refuse to allow him to advance to the nearby castle. Increasingly complicated bureaucratic obstacles arise. Funny Games: Two violent young men take a mother, father, and son hostage in their vacation cabin and force them to play sadistic 'games' with one another for their own amusement. Code Unknown: A young man harasses a homeless woman, another man protests, the police arrest both and the woman has to leave the country. What were their various story-lines leading up to this event? The Piano Teacher: A young man romantically pursues his masochistic piano teacher. Time of the Wolf: When Anna and her family arrive at their holiday home, they find it occupied by strangers. This confrontation is just the beginning of a painful learning process. Caché: A married couple is terrorized by a series of surveillance videotapes left on their front porch. The White Ribbon: Strange events happen in a small village in the north of Germany during the years before World War I, which seem to be ritual punishment. Who is responsible? Love: Georges and Anne are an octogenarian couple. They are cultivated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, also a musician, lives in Britain with her family. One day, Anne has a stroke, and the couple's bond of love is severely tested. Happy End: A well-to-do French family deals with a series of setbacks and crises.
