Synopsis:
Eleven-year-old Unna's hospitalised grandfather tells her she is descended from shamans. With the aid of a magic drum, Unna travels into the past to find a herb that will cure her grandfather. In her journey into the Stone Age, 2300 BC, she has many adventures. She discovers Stone Age life, gets caught up in a tribal feud and is captured along with Nuuk, a boy her own age. But Unna not only succeeds in reconciling the warring tribes she also finds the herb and returns to the present to bring it to her grandfather. This gripping fantasy film imaginatively charts a child's quest for her own roots, and paints a compelling portrait of ancient life in the forests of Scandinavia, with fabulous landscape shots before the dramatic backdrop of untouched nature.
