Synopsis:

Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman return for another unforgettable adventure - This time riding the Long Way Down. Facing a brand new set of challenges the intrepid pair discover spectacular but unforgiving terrain, rich cultures and unforgettable local characters on their incredible journey, testing their endurance, biking skills and friendship to the limits. They are partnered along the way by friends and producer /directors Russ Malkin and David Alexanian who were responsible for organizing the expedition and filming the documentary. From John O'Groats to Cape Town descending through Western Europe and Africa before arriving at the southern most tip of the continent, this 3 disc set contains the entire TV series of Long Way Down. Also included are a number of extras including unseen and extended footage, photo gallery and route maps.

In a follow-up to the documentary series 'Long Way Round', actors and best friends Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman travel from John O'Groats, Scotland down to Cape Town, South Africa on motorcycles. They travel down through Europe and Africa, getting an up-close view of the local cultures. They also stop at various UNICEF projects to offer support and assistance to the children there.

Two guys take a trip of several months on motorcycles. They travel from the North of Scotland, down through Europe, into Africa, finally winding up in Cape Town, South Africa.
