Synopsis:

Alex is a 15-year-old teenager with a secret. Soon after her birth her parents decide to leave Buenos Aires to make a home out of an isolated wooden house tucked away in the dunes of the Uruguayan shoreline. Then a couple of friends from Buenos Aires come to visit with their 16-year-old son Álvaro. Álvaro´s father is a plastic surgeon who accepted the invitation because of his medical concern for Alex. The inevitable attraction between both teenagers forces them all to face their worst fears... Rumours are spreading around the town. Alex gets stared at as if she were a freak. People´s fascination with her can become dangerous.

In a small coastal town of fishermen in Uruguay, the biologist Kraken works and lives in a house at the sea side with his wife Suli and their aggressive fifteen year-old daughter Alex. When Suli welcomes her former best friend Erika that comes with her husband, the surgeon Ramiro and their teenage son Alvaro to spend a couple of days with her family, Kraken learns that his wife invited Ramiro to operate Alex. Meanwhile Alex and Alvaro feel attracted by each other; however, Alvaro finds that Alex is hermaphrodite and she finds that Alvaro is gay. But the troubled and outcast Alex has the right to choose what gender she wants for her.

This is the dramatic story of a intersexed 15-year-old. She lives with her parents, who have to cope with the challenges of her medical condition.
