Synopsis:

Dalila is married to Marcolino, a jeweller in a small provincial town. The life she leads leaves her frustrated. Dalila's husband is violent. One day she has enough and decides to give herself a provocative makeover. Provocative she becomes. Quickly, she finds herself a lover and then announces that she has to have an operation for breast cancer. In fact, she is having cosmetic surgery. She thinks her breasts are too small. When Dalila metamorphoses into a new woman, she realizes that the one thing that can change her life is getting rid of her husband. She wants him dead. She hires a contract killer and promises to pay him with the gold that her husband always carries on his travels. A story of love and death, set in the countryside of southern Portugal, based on a true story.
