Synopsis:

Vaccuum salesman Evert makes the rounds in a suburban Stockholm apartment building, getting brief glimpses of the various tenants' lives. During the course of the day, he meets an arguing married couple, a lonely older woman and a younger couple preparing an anxious dinner. Evert returns home to his dying wife Siv in the evening, relating stories about the people he's met to amuse her.

Drama set in an apartment building in Stockholm detailing the lives of some of the occupants over the course of a 24 hour period.

The stories of a number of people in one apartment building. A vacuum cleaner salesman, who is a better listener than salesman, gets to know several touching and comical life stories while in the building.
