Synopsis:

Based on a true story from the Civil War, this drama follows a band of Confederate POWS who escape from a New England prison head for Canada and begin planning to distract Union forces by looting and pillaging a Vermont town.

Reconstruction of American Civil War incident in which escaped Confederate prisoners carried out a raid on a town near the Canadian border. Based on 'Affair of St. Albans' by Herbert Sass.

A Confederate Officer, taken prisoner by the Union, escapes with some of his men and goes north to Vermont with a plot to raid on the Union army from behind, as they advance towards the South.
