Synopsis:

1958. Gu, a famous and dangerous gangster who has received a life sentence, escapes from prison. On the run, he decides to flee the country to settle abroad with Manouche, the woman he loves. Gu decides to pull off one last heist but the police's scheming makes him appear as a traitor to his own accomplices. He will do whatever it takes to regain his honour... This remake of Melville's Noir classic features a star studded cast including Daniel Auteuil (Hidden, Romuald and Juliette), Monica Bellucci (Irreversible,The Matrix Reloaded), Michel Blanc (Buffet Froid, The Witnesses) and Eric Cantona (Elizabeth, Looking for Eric).

Crime, thriller, drama. Set in France at the end of the 1950s. Gu is a vicious, infamous gangster who has just broken out of jail, where he was serving a life sentence. He needs to do one last job to secure enough money to leave the country with his girl, Manouche, whom he wants to protect from harm at all costs. Despite every police officer in France working to recapture him, Gu carries off the holdup perfectly. However, the police, led by Inspector Blot, have manipulated things behind the scenes, arranging things so that Gu's gang believe him to be an informer. Labelled a traitor, Gu finds his gang's loyalty instantly evaporating. Strong and determined Manouche sets about saving Gu and clearing his name, whatever the cost.

Gu, a famous gangster, has just escaped from jail. All french police is after him. Before leaving the country with Manouche, the woman he loves, Gu needs a final job to get some money. The job works, but a police's scheming makes Gu appear as a traitor to his own accomplices. Gu will do whatever it takes to clean his honor...
