Synopsis:
All 13 episodes from the first series of the early 1960s crime drama that follows the struggles of Sergeant Cork (John Barrie) to introduce the latest scientific detection techniques to the fledgling Metropolitan CID of the 1890s. Helped by his public school assistant Bob Marriott (William Gaunt), Cork investigates a range of puzzling crimes, all the time waging a one-man war with his superiors to achieve proper status and recognition for the CID.
