Synopsis:

EROTIC TALES is a collaborative experiment with the sensual imagination. Conceived by one of Germany's most successful producers, Regina Ziegler, EROTIC TALES is a series of short films by prolific international directors, including Bob Rafelson (USA), Paul Cox (AUSTRALIA) and Nicholas Roeg (UK), who were given carte blanche to create films that captured their vision of the erotic in their cultures. EROTIC TALES are, for the most part, short stories of fantasy, sometimes spiced with humorous touches; occasionally poetic or exotic. Moreover, as has often been praised in festival catalogues, the series features top professional filmmakers - directors and screenwriters intrigued by the possibility of making a personal statement on what he or she feels may constitute in a visual context the realm of the erotic.

The Dutch Master (1994)
Teresa is not like her female colleagues. She cannot enjoy that kind of simple minded pleasure like watching males stripping. There is that Dutch painting in the museum she is fascinated of. Over and over she sits in front of it just staring at the young Dutch guy on it. One day the scenery on the painting becomes alive...

Tales of Erotica (1995)
The attractive Davida enters a shop shortly before off-time and wants to buy a bathtub. Just the manager is still there. As business is not well, he is willing to stay longer. Davida wants to try the bathtubs. Although this is not allowed in the shop the manager agrees. As if that is not enough, Davida says she wants the bathtub for two and needs to be sure it fits her needs. She wants the manager to take place in the bathtub too.

Vrooom Vroom Vrooom (1995)
A young boy receives a mystical motorcycle that transforms into a woman when he rides it at night.

The Cloud Door (1994)
A very clever parrot lives in a hindu palace, surrounded by many beautiful girls, but the parrot escapes, and is trapped far from the palace. One day, when it's new owner is sleeping, the bird convinces a young boy to open the cage door. In return, it shows the boy a secret passage to get into the palace.

The Insatiable Mrs. Kirsch (1993)
A writer taking a rest in a country hotel is obsessed with a strange woman in the same hotel. The woman seems to observe him in provocative ways, but he does not dare to approach her. One day he follows her to her room and listen to strange "erotic" sounds from inside, and begins to have erotic thoughts.

Touch Me (1993)
Two women escape their frustrating relationships and spend a weekend alone together in the country.

Sweeties (1995)
A tale of a neglected, plump housewife unsuccessfully tries to attract her husband until some magic sweets do the trick.

Hotel Paradise (1995)
A bride-to-be wakes up one morning next to a man chained to the bed, but cannot remember what happened the night before.

Devilish Education (1995)
Gosla is a beautiful and innocent young maid on the catholic countryside tending the cattle. One summer day she is having a bath in the river naked as god created her. On the next day a stranger appears painting and painting all day long. As they talk the black dressed suddenly shows her a picture showing her naked in the river. At first she is very ashamed, but then she begins to forget her shyness.

Sambolico (1996)
A Finnish music conductor and a Brazilian girl have virtual sex.
The Elephant Never Forgets (1995)
A dwarf from a circus and his best friend, an elephant, rescue a beautiful young woman from her burning car. When the dwarf visits the lady later, she tells him he has got a wish, because he saved her life. The dwarf wants one night…

The Waiting Room (1995)
In the crowded waiting room of a subway station a man waiting for his wife who went to the restroom. Suddenly he is struck by the look and charm of the girl sitting opposite: it begins to imagine movement sequences and highly sensual and erotic experiences at that moment with the beautiful woman in the middle of crowd of waiting passengers. Suddenly his wife back. It 'was just a dream ...???

Georgian Grapes (2000)
Undiscovered beauty resides in village, but accident helps her to "reveal" her "beauty".

Dream a Little Dream (1999)
As his wedding day approaches, the architect Yannis keeps having a recurring dream that leaves him shaken when he wakes up. The girl in his reverie is stunningly beautiful, a blithe spirit who taunts him with her smile, her shapely figure, her sensual persona - all that a man would want as a companion for life. The real world, however, offers him someone entirely different. Anna is sweet, attentive, down to earth - all that a man could wish for in a normal marriage. The right decision, it appears, is made. And then it happens: Yannis's dream comes true - on his wedding day.

Can I Be Your Bratwurst, Please? (1999)
When a highly eccentric group of Hollywood cannibals need to agree on the main course for their Christmas dinner, they settle on an unsuspecting traveler played by porn star Jeff Stryker. This 'erotic tale' features Los Angeles underground stars as well as Rosa's aunt, Lucy.

From the most prolific and successful female producer in Germany, Erotic Tales is a series of short films.
