Synopsis:

'Don't be impotent! Be important!' is the mantra of well-intentioned friends Brian Tongue (Rhys Thomas, STAR STORIES, BELLAMY'S PEOPLE) and Mark Bark-Jones (Stephen Mangan, CONFETTI, GREEN WING), whose Carbon Neutral, Vegetarian, and Organic expedition to the North Pole is the focus of indie Brit comedy BEYOND THE POLE. The duo hope to get into the Guinness Book of Records and perhaps score a little fame with their ambitious endeavour. Their inexperience and ineptitude is made increasing evident, however, when they come across their cocky Norwegian competition Terje (Alexander Skarsgard, TRUE BLOOD) and Ketil (Lars Arentz Hansen, THE BEACH).The award-winning BEYOND THE POLE has been described as TOUCHING THE VOID meets THE OFFICE, with its innovative mix of mockumentary comedy and global exploration.

Brian and Mark are setting out on the first Carbon Neutral, Vegetarian, and Organic expedition ever to attempt the North Pole. As a world first they have high hopes of getting into the Guinness Book of Records and, if all goes well, of saving the planet from Global Warming. Unfortunately they have never done anything like this before.
