The presumed killer is quickly arrested: Clemens, the sexton of the local community and a peeping-tom. But Eva's father Thomas - the local police officer - has his doubts and swears revenge. Whilst his wife looks for consolation with the local priest Simon, Thomas starts investigations on his own, seeking the real killer. The loss of his daughter becomes also a crucial test for his relationship to his religious wife Christiane.Simon and his brother Christoph are behaving very suspiciously. Thomas doesn't trust either of them. At the same time Katharina becomes more and more suspicious when she finds one of Eva's earrings in the church. Does Christoph - her father - have something to do with the murder of her friend? Daniel Hedfeld and René Sydow's psychological thriller deals with guilt and redemption, revenge and forgiveness.
