Synopsis:

Silvio Muccino directs and stars as Andrea, a wealthy 20-something who is pulled away from his devil-may-care lifestyle to visit his dying father in Nairobi, Kenya. Upon arrival in Africa, Andrea learns his father has already died, and that he has an 8-year-old stepbrother, Charlie, of whom he is now the legal guardian. A geographic and personal journey ensues, in which Andrea must decide to either return to his previous life in Rome, or commit to Charlie as his new brother. Based on the novel by Carla Vangelista. In Italian with English subtitles.

Andrea lives in Rome and has no passions or ambitions. On his 27th birthday he receives a letter from his father, who abandoned him to go live in Kenya 20 years ago. Now dying, his father asks him to come to Africa, to see him one last time. Andrea discovers he has a younger, black brother and must make amends with his life.
