Synopsis:

FBI agent Cathy Weaver (Winger) goes undercover to investigate a suspect in the murder of a local radio personality. As she becomes romantically interested in the apparently innocent Simmons (Berenger), Weaver uncovers an extremist group armed for murder. A horrifying network of violence stretches from the ordinary man in the street to high level government officials.
What follows is a shockwave of discovery as Weaver confronts the man she thought she loved and the criminal she must take down...

Set in Iowa, Betrayed stars Debra Winger as an FBI agent who infiltrates a Klanlike white supremacist organization. Allegedly a woman of intelligence and perception, Winger throws caution and logic to the winds when she falls in love with local farmer Tom Berenger. Much to her surprise Berenger turns out to be the most rabid racist of all.

A woman starts work on a farm, and gets to know the owner. They get on well, and she also gets on with his children. He asks her to stay on when the work is finished. Things are not what they seem, and we discover the woman is actually an FBI agent...
