Synopsis:
Australia's most famous lifeguards are back for a sixth season. Bondi Rescue's real-life heroes including Hoppo Whippet Maxy and Harries continue saving lives on one of the world's busiest and most extraordinary beaches. Rescues resuscitations shark sightings perverts bag thieves and fights all feature on a beach that hosts over 2.5 million visitors a year and as many as 40000 people in a single day. Using mini-cams on boards buggies and helmets viewers witness the action up close and personal. The terrified faces of rescue victims the critical seconds during resuscitations and the life-changing decisions made by lifeguards. Throughout another blistering hot summer of huge crowds and dangerous surf the boys in blue perform over 2500 rescues scores of first aids and generally keep the peace on a beach where anything can happen. Despite the enormous pressure these larrikin heroes maintain a sharp sense of humour that has made them a hit with beachgoers and audiences alike. Helmet cams, new lightweight board mounted cameras, underwater photography and water proof sound equipment makes sure audiences get all the action of the dramatic rescues including close-up coverage in the surf.
