Synopsis:
Maurice Elvey, the most prolific British director of all time, directed this 1933 Twickenham Studios production. The director is a story himself, having run away from his home in Stockton to work on the streets of London aged....nine. Co-Written and starring Ivor Novello, writer of over three hundred songs including, "Keep the home fires burning". It's a story of a penniless Russian prince in London befriended by Ada (Ida Lupino). Ada takes the prince home to live with her middle class family.

In London a young lady meets a homeless and apparently penniless Russian prince. She introduces him to her middle-class Fulham family and he moves in. It turns out he still has a number of diamonds given him by the last czar, and he is persuaded to start selling them. The resulting money, and his princely notoriety, soon cause changes in everyone's lives.

A Russian emigre takes lodgings with a British family, whose daughter falls in love with him and follows him back to Russia.
