Synopsis:

Charlotte, a director, makes a feature film in which she succeeds in dramatising the private in the political. After experiencing this high she falls into a deep anti-climactic well. In a bid to regenerate her artistic sensibilities she decides to make a documentary. Her producer is against the idea, but Charlotte is determined to go ahead and make a film about poverty and social hardship. But it's all just humbug and she's only fooling herself.
