Over half a century after his tragic death, he crashed at the age of 24 with his Porsche on Highway 466 in California, James Dean (1931 - 1955) is still an icon that speaks to the imagination. James Dean was the first actor, who received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor, after his death. This DVD box contains a unique collection of films, documentaries, episodes of TV series and other rarely seen footage. A must for anyone who still love the world's most favorite 'bad boy' of the '50s.
Includes the following titles:
1. James Dean Story (1957)
2. I'm a Fool (1954)
3. James Dean (1976)
4. Trouble With Father (1950)
5. Bonus James Dean
6. Hill Number One (1951)
7. Abraham (1952)
8. Bells or Cockaigne (1953)

The James Dean Story (1957)
Documentary feature on the life of James Dean. Written by Stewart Stern.

I'm a Fool (1954)
In "I'm a Fool," James Dean plays "The Boy" aka "Walter Mathers" alongside Eddie Albert's on-screen narration of the same character. Natalie Wood is cast as the young woman Dean falls in love with.

James Dean (1976)
TV film. Biography of James Dean, based on the writing of his friend, William Bast.

Trouble with Father (1950)
James Dean got one of his earliest roles on this popular 1950s sitcom. Here, Dean guest stars as Randy, a 16 year-old high-schooler who discusses his girl problems with Drexel (Martin Milner). Also contains all the original commercial that aired with the show.

Hill Number One (1951)
Filmed in color, the 60-minute Hill Number One was an episode of the TV religious anthology Family Theatre. Father Patrick Peyton hosts this star-studded Easter special, wherein the story of the Resurrection is told in flashback form at a contemporary family gathering. As always, Fr. Peyton has assembled an impressive cast, including Roddy McDowell, Michael Ansara, Leif Erickson and Ruth Hussey. What makes this special truly special is the early appearance by James Dean, who delivers an earnest, non-mumbling performance as the apostle John. Dean's brief scenes have since been excerpted in many a TV documentary devoted to the late actor's career.

Abraham Lincoln (1952)
A live television production about the life of the American president. James Dean, 21 years old, plays a Union soldier slated for execution for sleeping on duty who is sent for by Lincoln.

The Bells of Cockaigne (1953)
Pat finally wins the lottery and his dream of visiting his home in Ireland is attainable, but he secretly gives the winning ticket to young Joey, who has an ill child and lots of bills.
