Synopsis:
One of the greatest innovators in modern cinema, David Lynch's career has generated some of the most surreal, suspenseful and bizarre moments in movie history. 'From the birth of the mutant baby in 1977's Eraserhead, through the grotesqueries of The Elephant Man and the oxygen-sipping psycho in Blue Velvet, to the twisted noir of Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive...these are worlds of surface sunshine, while underneath bubbles a cauldron of depravity, deformity, ghoulish sounds and severed ears.' The Age. The David Lynch Collection brings together a pastiche of Lynch's legendary 40 year career, including...
Eraserhead - the seminal and surreal early classic for the first time on DVD in Australia
The David Lynch Short Film Collection - a collection of Lynch's student films from the 60s and short works from the 70s/80s
Dynamic 01 - a recent series of shorts written, directed, edited and scored by Lynch vailable exclusively on davidlynch.com
Lynch 01 - Compiled from 2 years of footage, this feature-length documentary is a fascinating and intimate portrait of Lynch's creative process as he completes his latest film, Inland Empire.
Dumbland - Lynch's macabre animation series.

Eraserhead (1977)
Is it a nightmare or an actual view of a post-apocalyptic world? Set in an industrial town in which giant machines are constantly working, spewing smoke, and making noise that is inescapable, Henry Spencer lives in a building that, like all the others, appears to be abandoned. The lights flicker on and off, he has bowls of water in his dresser drawers, and for his only diversion he watches and listens to the Lady in the Radiator sing about finding happiness in heaven. Henry has a girlfriend, Mary X, who has frequent spastic fits. Mary gives birth to Henry's child, a frightening looking mutant, which leads to the injection of all sorts of sexual imagery into the depressive and chaotic mix.

Six Men Getting Sick (1966)
A short continuously looping animation of six grotesque human figures vomiting.

The Alphabet (1968)
A woman's dark and absurdist nightmare vision comprising a continuous recitation of the alphabet and bizarre living representations of each letter.

The Grandmother (1970)
A young boy plants some strange seeds and they grow into a grandmother.

The Amputee (1974)
A double leg amputated woman sits and writes a long meandering letter while her ineffective nurse attempts to attend to her stumps.

The Cowboy and the Frenchman (1988)
Little seen short film by David Lynch is set on a ranch in the turn-of-the-20th Century Wild West, USA is a collision of cultures where a grizzled…

Lumiere (1995)
40 international directors were asked to make a short film using the original Cinematographe invented by the Lumière Brothers, working under conditions similar to those of 1895. There were three rules: (1) The film could be no longer than 52 seconds, (2) no synchronized sound was permitted, and (3) no more than three takes. The results run the gamut from Zhang Yimou's convention-thwarting joke to David Lynch's bizarre miniature epic.

Lynch (one) (2007)
LYNCH Behind the curtain A film that gives us a rare glimpse into the fascinating mind of the man who created classic films such as Eraserhead, Mulholland Dr., Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me, Wild At Heart, The Elephant Man and more...

Dynamic 01 (2007)
Over two hours of original content previously only available to members of DavidLynch.com. Includes 7 short films plus 3 intervalometer camera experiments. All shorts written, directed, edited and scored by David Lynch. Also includes more than 20 minutes of David Lynch answering questions from members of his website.

Dumbland (2002)
DumbLand is a series of eight crudely animated shorts written, directed, and voiced by director David Lynch in 2002. The series details the daily routines of a dull-witted white trash man. The man lives in a house along with his frazzled wife and squeaky-voiced child, both of whom are nameless as is the man in the shows. Lynch's website, however, identifies the male character by the name Randy and the child by the name Sparky. The wife is not named. The style of the series is intentionally crude both in terms of presentation and content, with limited animation.

ERASERHEAD (1977) - the seminal and surreal classic is David Lynch's first feature film and set the tone for his groundbreaking career.
THE DAVID LYNCH SHORT FILM COLLECTION - six short films from the master of the macabre spanning Lynch's student experiments in the 60s to the fully realized visions of the 80s. Includes Six Men Getting Sick, The Alphabet, The Grandmother, The Amputee, The Cowboy and the Frenchman, and Lumiere.
LYNCH 01 - Compiled from 2 years of footage, this feature-length documentary is a fascinating and intimate portrait of Lynch's creative process as he completes his latest film, Inland Empire.
DYNAMIC 01 - a recent series of shorts written, directed, edited and scored by Lynch available exclusively on davidlynch.com.
DUMBLAND - the macabre animation series described by Lynch as 'crude, stupid, violent, absurd.'
