Following a bitter legal battle over his late father's belongings, archaeology student Ben Rutherford comes into possession of a strange 18th century mechanical device known as 'Le Vaudo Mort'. Later that night, after a party at his university campus, Ben flaunts the machine in front of a group of friends. However, when it disappears from his room the next morning, things take a sinister turn when he finds out that the device may have deadly supernatural powers. One by one, Ben's friends begin to die under strange and horrific circumstances. Now he must reunite with his estranged half-brother, Marcus, a forensic photographer, and delve deeper into their father's past to work out who is behind the grisly murders. As the terror mounts and the clues seem to suggest the unthinkable, a surprising twist reveals the true identity of the killer.

In the Saint Mary's College, the student Ben Rutherford inherits a strange device from his deceased father. However, the device is stolen and out of the blue his friends are murdered, one by one, in a bizarre way. Ben and is brother Marcus have been estranged for years, but they get close again and discover that the machine is a tool built for revenge by Rubenstein in the Eighteenth Century. Further they also find that their father had killed his partner Robert Shawn ten years ago and now someone is seeking revenge for the sins of their father.
