Filmmakers vs. Tycoons (2005)
A long-gestated, provocative but somewhat disorganized diatribe against the technical abuses made to movies when they transfer to TV, vet Catalan helmer Carlos Benpar's "Filmmakers vs. Tycoons" reps both absorbing viewing for film purists and a slap on the wrist for those who believe that acquiring a movie means buying the right to modify it. Featuring an impressive assortment of witnesses for the prosecution both living (Berlanga, Donen, Forman, Pollack) and dead (Lancaster, Huston, Fellini), shamelessly partisan docu deserves exposure in fest sidebars and (if possible) on the very tube channels whose policies it's attacking.

Filmmakers in Action (2005)
This follow-up to Filmmakers vs. Tycoons is a testimony to the manipulation and mutilation of films and the producers battling to maintaining the integrity and respect of their works. A variety of filmmakers defend their moral rights, including Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen. From trials in Paris that defend John Huston's motive to release the coloured version of The Asphalt Jungle, to a case in Copenhagen where the original scope format of a Sydney Pollack film was manipulated for television, the various ways in which films are altered are brought to light.

Filmmakers vs. Tycoons (2005)
Filmmakers VS Tycoons is a 35 mm feature film which defends film Directors' Moral Right before all kinds of alterations to their work. The film combines both fiction and documentary: the fictional part reinforces the relation between the manipulation of films with the manipulation of other arts which are considered to be more 'sacred', such as painting and music. The documentary part shows testimonies of several European and American film directors who have fought in favor of Filmmakers' Moral Rights. And not only in defence of their own work but also in defence of their colleagues' work. Details are given about the efforts in the USA, Denmark, Italy, France and Spain to stop the doctoring of films. This film is to be the definitive account of the struggle which brings the creative spirit face to face with the manipulator, and a tableau of the alternations which the cinematographic work has suffered at the hands of the audiovisual media, from the change of speed of silent films, which are presented to us in a ridiculous way, to the electronic coloring of films shot in black and white, and the alteration of a film's original aspect ratio - most especially scope - via pan and scan techniques, as well as commercial breaks on television, modifications in dubbing and of the soundtrack, and so on.

Filmmakers in Action (2005)
A follow-up of 'Filmmakers vs. Tycoons', this documentary feature deals with the trials held in Paris, Copenhagen and Stockholm in defence of the moral right of filmmakers John Huston, Sydney Pollack, Vilgot Sjorman and Claes Eriksson. The ever-controversial practice of dubbing, a new form of censorship via software systems, the 'final cut' and other alterations cinematographic works are subject to Filmmakers' participation.
