Synopsis:
First Do No Harm (1997)
Young Robbie Reimuller begins to have seizures and is diagnosed with epilepsy. His parents struggle to get the best possible medication and treatment for him. Conventional drugs do not seem to be working effectively, but when his parents want to try something called the Ketogenic diet which they have discovered through research into the subject, they are opposed by Robbie's doctor. A battle ensues between the hospital authorities and Robbie's parents.

Fatal Love (1992)
Based on the true-life story of one young, pretty, intelligent, middle-class and HIV AIDS stricken Alison (Ali) Gertz. Molly Ringwald plays the titular character who has to come to terms with her illness and the lives affected from all-sides, who, also having to come to terms with a new, modern disease and the dealings of ignorance that was the nineteen-eighties. This is Alison Gertz's story via her teachings of her condition to a world still waking-up to this social stigma and of the courage, sadness and love that her short life touched.

First Do No Harm (1997)
When Lori Reimuller learns that her young son Robbie has epilepsy, she first trusts the judgment of the hospital staff in how best to bring it under control. As Robbie's health slides radically downhill, however, she becomes frustrated and desperate, and so does her own research into the existing literature on treatments. When she decides to try an alternative treatment called the Ketogenic Diet, devised long ago by a doctor from Johns Hopkins, she is met with narrow-minded resistance from Robbie's doctor, who is prepared to take legal action to prevent Lori from removing him from the hospital. This movie is an indictment of those in the medical profession who discuss only the treatment options they favor. Several of the minor characters are portrayed by people who have been not just helped, but cured by the Ketogenic diet.

Fatal Love (1992)
As one of a myriad of early 1990s TV movies centering around the AIDS issue. Molly Ringwald stars as Alison Gertz, an upscale Manhattanite who thinks she knows her way around. Still, Alison conducts an 'unprotected' one-night affair, which results in her contacting the AIDS virus. Despite her alleged smarts, Alison continues to seek out sexual partners and can't understand why they're reluctant to sleep with her, even though she belatedly offers to use contraceptives.
